Everything about club coins, Skill Coins, how their value is decided, and how earning and spending work.
Skillflu runs on two kinds of coins, and they do different jobs.
Club Coins are what you earn. Every club has its own coin with its own name and symbol — the Arabic guild earns LUGH, the tech club earns TSYS, and so on. When your activity is approved, the coins come out of your club's treasury and land in your club balance. Club coins are specific to your club: they show your effort inside that club.
Skill Coins (SC) are the common currency of the whole platform. SC is what you actually spend — claiming benefits, paying challans, and any cross-club comparison happens in SC. Every club coin has an exchange value expressed in SC.
The simplest way to hold it: club coins are the language of your club; SC is the language everyone shares. You earn in your club's coin, and convert to SC when you want to spend.
A club coin's value is based on scarcity — how many of that club's coins are in circulation.
The system looks at the total coins held by all active members of that club, and compares it to a reference supply. The rule is simple:
This is deliberate. If a club hands out coins very freely, its coin naturally softens; if a club awards carefully and members spend what they earn, the coin holds its strength. The value is bounded on both sides so it can never spike or collapse overnight, and it is recalculated as balances change.
Because of this, the number on your screen is not a fixed price. It moves as your club earns and spends.
SC is the anchor — 1 SC is always 1 SC. It does not float.
That is exactly why it exists. If both currencies moved, nothing could be compared or priced. So SC is held steady and club coins are measured against it. A benefit costing 100 SC costs 100 SC for everyone, in every club, on every day.
What changes is how many club coins it takes to make 1 SC. If your club coin is worth 1.30 SC, then roughly 77 of your coins make 100 SC. If it is worth 0.50 SC, you need 200. Same benefit, same SC price — the difference is in the exchange rate, not the price.
Because each club has its own separate economy — its own treasury, its own members, its own earning and spending pattern. There is no single rate that would be fair to all of them.
Across the 24 active clubs, values currently sit between 0.0100 SC and 1.3210 SC per coin. For example ISLM is currently the strongest and ORAT the softest.
A higher coin value does not mean a "better" club. It usually means that club has fewer coins circulating right now. A club with a lower value but far more coins in hand can easily be worth more in total. That is why totals are always compared in SC, never in raw coin counts.
Mainly by doing activities and getting them approved. You submit an activity, your club admin reviews it, and on approval the coins move from the club treasury into your balance.

Every single credit is logged. You can trace each one in your transactions history.
The treasury is the pool of coins a club has available to award. When your activity is approved, coins are transferred out of the treasury into your balance — they are not created from nothing.
This is what keeps the economy honest: a club cannot award unlimited coins. If the treasury runs low, awards have to be prioritised. It also means every coin you hold came from a real, approved decision.
On benefits — the rewards your institution offers, each priced in SC. These range from small everyday perks to significant privileges like leave passes.
When a benefit is approved, the system pays for it in a specific order:
If your SC and club coins together still fall short of the price, the claim is not approved — your balance is never pushed below zero.
Through the Exchange. You choose how many club coins to convert, the system shows the SC you will receive at the current rate, and you confirm.
Two things worth knowing:
A challan is a penalty issued for a discipline violation — for example being late, missing Jamaath, or being absent from class. It carries an amount in SC and a due date.
Until you pay it, the challan stays open against your name, and depending on your institution's settings some parts of Skillflu may be restricted. Paying it clears the record.
It becomes overdue, and that is treated more seriously than an unpaid challan.
In some institutions an overdue challan is charged at a higher rate than the original amount — so delaying genuinely costs more than paying promptly. Your institution may also require an unlock step before payment is accepted.
The lesson is simple and intended: settle challans early. Waiting never makes them cheaper.
Conduct flags are records of behaviour, kept separately from challans. Where a challan is a one-off penalty, a flag tracks a pattern — repeated offences of the same kind are counted and carry a severity.
Flags matter because consistent conduct is part of how classes and students are assessed for rewards and privileges.
A suspension means your dashboard has been temporarily blocked by the administration for non-compliance with discipline. Your coins are safe — nothing is deleted.
The suspension window shows you the exact steps to be reinstated: download and sign the declaration, submit it to the Principal, confirm submission, pay the service fee, and then wait for the Principal's approval. Once approved, your access returns as before.
Note that while suspended you can still be issued challans and flags — so conduct still counts during this period.
Heritage coins are coins carried over from a previous year of Skillflu. They were held in a locked state and released gradually as students met certain conditions.
Locked coins are shown separately from your spendable balance because they cannot be spent while locked. If your institution runs a settlement, the terms and any deadline will be displayed clearly on your dashboard.

Also remember your club coin's value can move even when your coin count does not. Your "total worth in SC" can shift slightly without any transaction at all.
Rankings compare students on a common basis in SC, not on raw club coin counts — otherwise a student in a club with a soft coin would look far ahead of someone with fewer but stronger coins.
So the comparison uses your SC wallet plus the SC value of your club coins. That way effort is compared fairly across every club.
